Ingredients
The unadulterated hydrosol of Rose, Witch-Hazel, Chamomile and Jasmine have been carefully blended with extracts of Cebtella Asiatica and Horse Chestnut to give you a herbal toner facial spritzer that heals, calms and revitalises your skin, repairing any nicks, bruises or abrasions, while also feeding your skin – promoting collagen formation and strengthening the skin.
Rose Hydrosol (Floral Water) Botanical Name is Rosa Damascena
- Used in homeopathy to balance hormones, combat PMS, cramps and moodiness, also a natural ‘pick me up’. Rose water is also used to heal small nicks, scratches, bruises. An excellent addition to the First Aid Kit.
- Its humectant properties make it excellent for use on normal, dry, sensitive and devitalised skin
- Cooling, antiseptic and mildly astringent with a wonderful slight and natural fragrance – excellent when used while traveling or on an airplane to balance the effect of the germ ridden and dry atmosphere on an airplane. Rose water is also excellent to use in a douche.
- Rose water is said to promote balance and to give emotional healing
Witch-Hazel Hydrosol (Floral Water) Botanical name is Hamamelis virginiana
- Used for the skin in homeopathy as a potent anti oxidant and in compresses to reduce swelling and arthritic or rheumatic pain, also as a gargle for sore throats, where it is combined with an appropriate essential oil.
- Its anti oxidant properties make it an excellent anti-aging skin care product and witch hazel is suitable for all types of skin. Its astringent properties make it an excellent addition to any skin care routine.
- It has potent cicatrisant and anti inflammatory properties and is excellent for use on mosquito bites, insect bites, cracked heels, redness, itchiness, swelling, scalded skin and blisters. It has a calming and healing effect when used to treat psoriasis and eczema.
Camomile Hydrosol (Floral Water) Botanical name is Chamaemelum nobile
- Used in homeopathy for baby care – when bathing, on bedding, for teething, to calm and soothe – its healing properties soothe pain, combat crankiness, diarrhea and upset tummy . Used for relaxation and to treat depression. Excellent for use in skin care for sensitive skin, rashes, burns and redness or any inflammation. Excellent when used while douching or on a bidet to calm itchiness, jock- itch and for hygiene. Camomile water is also used as an eye wash to treat conjunctivitis, red scratchy eyes and eyes affected by pollution.
- It has been included in our Herbal Toner Facial Spritzer as it has wonderful properties when used on the skin. It is excellent when used on sunburn, burns, rashes. rosacea, acne and heat rash.
- Camomile is said to calm, reduce mental irritation, stress and to instill a feeling of ‘all is right with the world’.
Centella Herbal Extract Botanical Name Centella Asiatica
- One of its main functions is to increase circulation, but it is also known for centuries for its great wound healing properties.
- It stimulates the fibroblast and collagen in the skin, yet prevents excessive proliferation of fibrous tissue in wound healing. Centella is particularly helpful in healing damaged and injured skin and maintaining healthy skin tone and elasticity.
- The triterpene components are principally responsible for fixing amino acids (alanine and proline) onto the collagen structure.
Horse Chestnut Herbal Extract Botanical Name Aesculus hippocastanum
- Due to the excellent venous tonic effect of horse chestnut when applied topically on the skin, it helps to prevent vein and capillary fragility and is a great boon in anti-aging skincare.
- It also balances the circulation in the skin, thereby promoting not only a clear skin, but an even complexion and good skin tone, and is used in good quality cosmetics, hand creams, lotions, as well as slimming and cellulite products.
- Due to the saponins contained it has a potent anti-inflammatory effect on the skin.
Directions for Use
Spray liberally and use as a toner after washing your skin with our Herbal Face Wash.
Gently pat dry before applying our Moisturising day or Nourishing Night cream.
