Information on our Hyssop Anointing Oil
Hyssop Anointing oil is a mixture of pure Hyssop essential oil on a base of Olive Oil
We have made and bottled pure Hyssop oil, blended into extra-virgin Olive oil to cut the cost of the oil and to also offer it for immediate use. You can simply use the Anointing Blend – Hyssop with the surety that the dilution rate is correct for anointing healthy adults.
A client requested us to make this blend for his son, who is battling with insomnia and nightmares. He reported that Hyssop essential oil relaxes and calms his son. We then read up about Hyssop in the bible and found that hyssop was commonly used during purification rites.
Hyssop Anointing Oil must be consecrated (prayed over and blessed) to be used for cleansing and purification of people, furnishings and places. There is a common perception in some modern churches that hyssop can be used as a tool to encourage forgiveness and repentance as it was used in biblical times for this very purpose.
Precautions
This blend is not to be taken internally and a small amount should be used to anoint the temple (top of the head and forehead). Please do not use on broken skin or open wounds and scratches.
