The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has put out the official schedule for when grants will be paid out in the first two months of 2026. This is to reassure the people who will be getting the money that they will be getting it on time. The payment calendar shows the dates for all major permanent grants, like the Older Persons Grant, the Disability Grant, and the Children’s Grants. It also shows the dates for the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) R370 grant, which works differently than fixed monthly payments. These dates can help you plan your household budget, meet your basic daily needs, and save money on petrol and trips to payment points that you don’t need to make.
Dates for payments in March 2026
SASSA was able to confirm in March 2026 that all permanent social grants will be paid during the first full week of the month. The Older Persons Grants will be paid on March 8. This release gives you the best financial help as the new year begins. On March 7, 2026, disability grants will be paid out. On March 8, 2026, all of the Children’s Grants, such as Child Support, Foster Child, Care Dependency, and War Veterans Grants, will be paid out.

These dates show the SASSA staggered payment module, which is meant to help banks, stores, and pay points handle more customers. The SRD grants from R370 that help unemployed and at-risk adults can’t all be processed on the same day. Instead, they will be grouped together and processed between March 8 and March 9, 2026. The people who will get the money need to check their own SRD status first to find out when they will actually get their payment.

The date of the SASSA payment is February 2026.
In March 2026, things will be pretty much the same. Older Persons Grants are due on Tuesday, March 3, 2026; Disability Grants are due on Wednesday, March 4, 2026; and Children’s Grants are due on Thursday, March 5, 2026.Families can pay for school, food, and utilities thanks to the early month dates. From February 24 to March 2, 2026, SRD R370 payments for February will be made, depending on whether each person has been verified and approved. Beneficiaries should check their SRD status often to find out the exact payment date within this time frame.
How to Get Your SASSA Payment
Grant recipients can get their money through direct bank deposits, their SASSA gold card, approved retail partners, and certain pay points. Beneficiaries can get their payments after the official payment date, so it would be best for them to take them out when it is convenient for them. Beneficiaries should keep their own and financial information up to date to avoid more delays
